ABOUT
Where it all Began
Tulip Creek began when Russ, raised in a farming family in northern Colorado, moved to Northwest Arkansas and purchased a 5-acre parcel in Hiwasse. With the encouragement of his family, he planted 23 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and zucchini in the very first season—producing thousands of pounds of food and partnering with Spring Creek Food Hub to distribute the harvest.

The People Behind the Farm
A Team Field by Passion
After those first pumpkins went in the ground, Russ’s longtime friend Danielle joined the farm, bringing her lifelong passion for healthy growing and eating. The Tulip Creek team grew quickly—both in people and purpose.
Some of our most treasured early memories include extended family learning to transplant pumpkins, getting comfortable with new equipment, and Russ’s 10-year-old daughter Delaney staying up late to help plant under the stars.
In recent years, Russ’s father-in-law Steve became an essential part of the team, helping maintain the farm’s equipment and property. During peak summer harvest, friends and family join together to help bring in the bounty—embodying the spirit of community that defines Tulip Creek.
